A Programme Manager’s Challenge

Steven Laker of ClarityBlu reached out last week asking if our Toolkit could help derive the PI Predictability at the PI Objective level.

To his delight, and without wading through paperwork, he had the answer the same morning. In addition to the PI Predictability he had our novel Delivered Feature Slip metric showing the predictability of planned Features at the Iteration level.

Not only did he have the information he needed but Report Templates were created ready for a simple “click and run” next time. What we didn’t know is that the next time came sooner than expected!

Delighted with the analytics, the same Report Templates were run using the previous PI’s baseline data to provide trending data.

Trying to contain his excitement at the ease and clarity, further reports were run looking at his complex Programme across the numerous Agile Release Trains delivering the many Epics in scope.

The next step was now made easy, Steven could prepare his update and send it to the Management Team.
